The Chiefland Watermelon Festival held since 1954 includes free watermelon provided by local farmers. The celebration includes a seed-spitting contest, parade, free watermelon, and a watermelon king and queen contest. Arts and Crafts by local artists can also be found at this event.

The Quilt Show is put on by the Levy County Quilt Museum, registered as the only quilt museum in the state. The quilt show gives everyone the opportunity to see many of the unique quilts for sale as well as crafts and other items. The Museum is located just a few miles outsite of Chiefland.
Chiefland Winter Festival
